Alright, I was too modest about the Ultra-Mental/Invisible Deck tip. I’ll be honest here, this is a great tip. This will change Gemini Twins in your repertoire from a self-worker with great reactions to a nearly self-working powerhouse with even better reactions.

I have a better presentation for Gemini Twins coming up, Astrology Twins, but in this version, you make a prediction, the participant shuffles right before the dealing procedure, and then they find the two cards that match your prediction.

This solves the mate problem discussed in (Card) Monogamy Is Overrated. They know they’re looking for, for example, the red threes. Having your participant shuffling right before the dealing procedure also eliminates any chance they’ll figure out the self-working aspect of the trick.

So, how do we do this?

First, you have to take the Jokers out of the deck. As you’re doing this, cull out a pair of mates and two indifferent cards. I like the red threes or the black fours, but obviously it doesn’t matter.

Take out the Jokers, set them aside, and palm out your four cards. Ask the spectator to shuffle the deck thoroughly, and as they do make sure under the table that you have the two mates on the outside of the two indifferent cards. That is, your stack should have a target card at the top, then the two indifferent cards, then the other target card.

“Okay, so we’re going to find two cards. I think they’re going to be the red threes.”

You grab the deck, palming your packet onto the top. You should now have a target card on top, two of the opposite color cards below it, and then your other target card fourth from top.

“Now, I’m going to have you select two random cards with the Jokers. So I’ll deal down like this…”

You start dealing down three cards as a demonstration. You mime putting a Joker down on top of those three cards.

“And you can stop me wherever you like, and I’ll put a Joker down there and drop the rest of the deck on top.”

Then drop the deck on top of those three cards. If you’ve been keeping track, you’ll know that you now have a target card on top and on bottom.

Now you just go through the Gemini Twins process.
