Craig Petty recently made a post to the Facebook group Magicians Only that has been brought to our attention. We love Craig here at the Magic Oval. We especially love his excessively long tutorial videos, his claims to invent new material (that someone else invented), and his shilling of his friends’ shitty products (I’m looking at you Lloyd Barnes).

What we don’t love is people that send hate mail to people that is only intended to make them feel bad about themselves. There is a massive difference between legitimate criticism of stuff that somebody has done and attacking a person’s character, which does nothing to advance any argument.

If you send unsolicited messages to people with a view to upset them you’re not funny, you’re not clever, you’re just a dick. Don’t be a dick.

Whilst there are legitimate reasons to dislike Craig, I would take a million Craig Pettys over one asshole that sends this type of hate mail to people in the magic community. If you’re one of those people, go fuck yourself.
