Synthesis & Secrets, which we reviewed upon initial release, is now available again in extremely limited quantities. If you’re interested, you should snatch a copy up immediately. It won’t be reprinted for a long time if ever, and never again as hardcover.
Anyway, it’s time to cover some mistakes that we’ve made. Unlike other errata we’ve issued in the past, each erratum here will be for someone other than Jerry, if you can believe it.
Also, there will be useful tips and some news, so click through if you don’t want to miss out.
Decoding the Matrix Multi-Force has an error in which the dialogue suggests that there is nearly as much coriander as there is nutmeg.
However, the amount specified with regard to coriander was only for lime and coriander combined. There is no indication of how much coriander there is, and thus no way to ascertain how close the amount of nutmeg is.
Meeting of the Masterminds had an error in which it was said that you would split the deck between the kissing kings.
With a Mastermind deck, there are no kissing kings. The new deck order is different. What we meant, of course, was just to split the deck into perfect halves. 25 and 25, not counting the ungimmicked cards.
In addition, we forgot to mention that you can use Sankey’s Paperclipped switch easily for a non-gimmicky alternative to the Quiver, and that you should make the heart card the prediction they can open themselves as opposed to the club card, since they are much more likely to pick the heart card.
Odds and Ends #7: The One About Asian Competitions has an error in which we conflate museums and libraries. This one should be fairly self-explanatory. Moving on.
There is another error in this article in which we claim to be “nothing like the Jerx anymore”. This is not technically true. We used to be a bit more like the Jerx, and now we are only a bit like the Jerx.
This same article has something you may THINK is an error, but it is not. We make the bold claim that Justin Miller will be retiring from magic, but that he would be back soon enough.
We’re very pleased to announce that we have saved Justin Miller’s career with those words. He clearly read our article, because he decided to stick with magic after all a few days after publication!
You’re welcome.
Finally, The Magic Oval 101 was not actually the 101st post. Counting deleted posts, it would be the 104th post.
What happened to those other three posts, you might wonder? That’s for later…
